Provincial police say they've found human remains inside a vehicle belonging to a man reported missing from Markham, Ont., in October.
They say the abandoned vehicle registered to Eugene Kim was found in Laurier Township, Ont., about 55 kilometres south of North Bay, Ont., on Thursday.
Police say the remains found in the car have not been identified and an autopsy will take place in the coming days.
York region police have said 38-year-old Kim was last seen around 7 a.m. at his family home in Markham on Oct. 2.
They say at about 4:30 p.m. that day his cell phone was used in the North Bay area.
According to York region police, Kim's family has called his disappearance extremely out of character and it wasn't known why he would be North Bay.
