He hasn't even been sworn in and already the man who will become Ontario's youngest MPP is breaking ranks with his party.
19 year old Progressive Conservative Sam Oosterhoff who won the Niagara West Glanbrook byelection this month is set to be sworn in this morning.
PC leader Patrick Brown has been denying allegations Oosterhoff's swearing in was put off until today so the teen wouldn't vote, on a bill that will see same-sex parents and others who use assisted reproduction to conceive no longer have to adopt their own children.
Oosterhoff, a social conservative telling the Star, he would not have voted for the bill calling it a horrible piece of legislation adding while all parents need to be respected, the bill as is "can lead to litigation on the child."
The day before Brown announced that he expected all his MPP's to vote in favour of the bill.
