A military funeral is being held for a 29 year oldĀ Hamilton Air Force pilot killed during a training exercise near the Alberta-Saskatchewan boundary.
Captain Thomas McQueen was flying the single-seat jet that went down November 28th on the Saskatchewan side of the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range.
A service to commemorate his life will be held at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope.
After the service, a procession will travel along an extended Highway of Heroes to Ottawa for a private burial at the Beechwood National Cemetery of Canada.
McQueen was to be married in 3 weeks. His finance did not speak at the funeral, but his mother did.
His airplane was brought in from Cold Lake for the service.
