It's not just about curling when the Scotties Tournament of Hearts rolls into town this weekend.
The tournament is bringing more than elite curling, it also brings a generous donation to the Niagara Health System.
The Sandra Schmirler Foundation will be donating more $62,500 to the NHS OneFoundation during a ceremony Saturday afternoon at the St. Catharines hospital.
The money will be used to set up a Giraffe Omnibed Carestation at the hospital's special care nursery.
The Tournament of Hearts runs from February 18th to the 26th at the Meridian Centre.
