Sophisticated sonar technology is being brought in to help in the search for a missing Buffalo Police Department diver in the Niagara River.
The equipment is coming from the New York Police Department.
Boats from several agencies are on the scene, divers are back in the water, a K-9 search team is combing the shoreline, and a helicopter is up in the air looking for the missing member of the Buffalo Police Department's Underwater Recovery Team
Homicide detectives and a cadaver dog search team are also at the scene.
Buffalo Police diver Craig Lehner went into the Niagara River during a training exercise Friday and did not come out.
Officials from the Buffalo Police Department say it "remains a search-and-rescue" operation.
The Niagara Regional Police Service assisted in the search.
