The search continues this morning after a 29 year old Niagara Falls woman fell into the Niagara River.
Police have been searching for Alicia Kirkwood since 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, but her body had not yet been located.
Helicopter and jet boat teams were brought in to help with the search over the weekend, but there has still been no sign.
Bill Bolton heads an independent tactical search and rescue group and was contacted by the family to help with the search.
"We've actually got an analysis done. We work with a team out in BC who does water analysis and water recovery rescues. They've sent me a report as to what we call the area of probability. This is not a given; it's just another tool we use to say this is where she could be."
Although residents have stepped forward offering to help, Bolton advices this is best left to the professionals.
"Both the police and myself have advised that the public don't try to assist just simply because of the danger. Many people have unfortunately succumbed to this area."
Bolton characterizes the operation as likely a recovery at this point, not a rescue.
