A second case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at a Welland high school.
DSBN officials say a second person at Eastdale Secondary School has tested positive for the virus, but they will not say if that person is a staff member or student.
Niagara Region Public Health is handling contact tracing and will notify anyone who may have come into close contact with the individual.
Custodians completed a deep cleaning of the school this weekend and a Public Health Inspector and Public Health Nurse will visit the school today for an assessment.
So far there have been three known cases of COVID-19 in Niagara's schools: two at Eastdale and one at Mary Ward Elementary School in Niagara Falls.
