Police are looking for a suspect after a robbery at a St.Catharines variety store last night.
It happened at approximately 5:30PM when officers responded to a 911 call to the store in the area of Arthur Street and Northglen Avenue.
Officers responded to a report of a robbery by two men armed with weapons.
Officers arrived on-scene and found a 77 year old man and a 75 year old woman suffering from minor injuries.
They were transported to a local hospital.
Officers on-scene had an interaction with an 18 year old man.
The SIU says a taser was used on the suspect and he was rushed to hospital and is listed in serious condition.
The Ontario Special Investigations Unit is investigating.
Niagara detectives are continuing to investigate the robbery.
An extensive search by a NRPS K9 team did not locate a second suspect who was wearing a black hoodie sweater and a mask over his face.
