Sentencing has been postponed for a 35-year-old Hamilton man who pleaded guilty to gross negligence causing death in the drowning of a young boy on St. Lucia.
Sahab Jamshidi was supposed to be sentenced last Friday -- but that was put off until this week and today was delayed again until February 23rd because the prosecution has not
completed its written submissions in the case.
The family of Terrel Joshua Elibox said Jamshidi had taken the boy out while kite surfing in February 2015 and dropped him.
Jamshidi's supporters had maintained he was trying to help the child after seeing him struggle in the water -- but the Ontario man suddenly changed his plea to guilty when his trial
started last month.
