Dellen Millard, who was found guilty of killing his father, is due in court today for a sentencing hearing.
In September, a judge found theĀ Toronto man guilty of the first-degree murder of Wayne Millard, whose death was intially ruled a suicide.
The 71-year-oldĀ businessman was found dead in his bed with a bullet lodged in his brain in November 2012.
Millard pleaded not guilty in the death
It's his third such conviction after being found guilty of murdering his former lover Laura Babcock and Hamilton man Tim Bosma, a complete stranger.
The prosecution will ask for an additional 25 years of parole ineligibility on top of the 50 years Millard must serve in prison without parole for the previous murders.
