A powerful politician who helped put Donald Trump in the White House appears to be on the way out as attorney general.
Officials say Trump has spoken with advisers about firing Jeff Sessions.
Trump has been angry for weeks over Sessions' decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation and launched a fresh Twitter tirade this morning, referring to Sessions as ``beleaguered.''
Two names are being floated as a possible replacement if Trump fires Sessions, but both Rudy Giulliani and Ted Cruz have said they are not interested in the job.
