A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for all of Niagara.
Officials with Environment Canada are encouraging residents to prepare for some powerful storms this afternoon.
The storms will develop near Windsor east of Lake Huron and up north near Georgian Bay around noon. Meteorologists expect the storms will start moving eastward across most of Ontario during the afternoon and early evening.
By late this afternoon, the storms will roll in to the Golden Horseshoe.
Niagara could be battered with damaging wind gusts, small hail, and torrential downpours.
It is expected to clear up later this evening.
