After ten years, officials with the city of St. Catharines are looking to update the plan managing the sewer system.
Residents concerned with sewage overflows into local creeks and streams or basement flooding are encouraged to come to an open house this afternoon at the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatic Centre.
The city's current Pollution Control Plan was completed in 2008, and officials say it is time to update the plan to prioritize what work still needs to be done to protect basements and reduce pollution in local waterways.
The drop in open house runs from 4 this afternoon until 7 tonight.
