A Shelter in Place is still in effect in St. Catharines following a massive fire at Pioneer Flower Farm.
Due to a change in winds, the shelter in place has shifted.
Now residents in the following area are being asked to stay indoors:
Seventh Street Louth
Fifth Street Louth
3rd Avenue
2nd Avenue
Crews say they have the fire contained, but are still fighting with hot spots.
The fire was called in around 11pm last night, and fire departments from Thorold, Niagara on the Lake, Pelham, and Lincoln came to help.
Even with more than 27 vehicles and 100 fire departments on scene, crews are still battling the nearly 22 hours later.
The city says the fire originally started in one of the greenhouses, which collapsed and fell into the fire route hampering the efforts of fire crews to get access to the fire.
The fire then spread across the grass and into a bush that caused a significant bush fire.
Thank you to Lincoln, Pelham, NOTL, Thorold and Ft. Erie Fire Services, StC city crews, NEMS, NRPS and our StC Fire crews for all their help and work. Outstanding job by all!! We are not done yet. Get some rest. Thanks again! pic.twitter.com/lrOdEduBIh

A post on Facebook by Jessica McShane says that 30+ migrant workers lived and worked on the site, and have lost everything.
She says temporary housing has been arranged, but they're looking for donations of clothing, socks, shoes, toiletries, etc. for the workers.
Donations can be dropped off at Hernder Estate Winery at 1607 Eighth Avenue anytime after 10am tomorrow.
