Short Hills Park will once again be closed for three weekends this fall for a First Nation deer harvest.
The Provincial Park will be sealed off from the public November 19, 20, 26, 27 and December 1 and 2.
The Haudenosaunee Confederacy has a treaty right to harvest in an area of southwestern Ontario, which includes Short Hills.
Hunters will be using only bow and arrow, with the harvest taking place from one half-hour before sunrise to one half-hour after sunset.
Notices will be posted at the park with Ministry staff at park entrances to let the public know the park is closed during the harvests.
