The Province's special investigations unit has ruled no charges will be issued against officers involved in the arrest of a 13 year old girl.
In September of 2016, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Pelham after reports of a young woman throwing a dish of food at an employee at the residence, ripping a railing from a wall and threatening to kill the employee.
The teenager, who had breached conditions of her probation, was arrested and while be taken into custody threw herself to the floor and banged the back of her head two or three times into a wall.
The next day the teen was taken to hospital and diagnosed with a concussion.
The SIU has ruled there are no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges against any NRP officers in relation to the serious injury sustained by the teen.
