A group of American diabetics will hold a media conference in London today after travelling to Canada because of the soaring cost of insulin in the United States.
The group of about 25, which left Minneapolis, Minnesota yesterday, aim to buy the non-prescription drug at about one-tenth of the price.
One of the organizers says insulin prices south of the border have skyrocketed in the past two decades from about 16 dollars U-S for a vial to 340 dollars -- roughly 10 times the price in Canada.
