Bell Canada says some of its business phone customers are experiencing service disruptions because of an issue with a network hardware component.
A spokesman for the telecommunications company said mid-afternoon that its technicians were working to restore full service but provided no details on the extent of the problem.
The Niagara Catholic District School Board also issued a tweet that said that Bell had advised it that a widespread outage had prevented incoming calls to some of its schools.
The school board said email was a better way to communicate until the problem was resolved.
