Churches in Niagara will be able to host their first in-person services this weekend since the pandemic started.
Margaret Jong is with the Diocese of St. Catharines tells CKTB it's been a long three months and they are very grateful for the news that they are able to reopen in some Niagara communities.
She says not all Catholic parishes will reopen this weekend, because they don't have the proper PPE or volunteers.
Jong says it's a good idea to call your local parish to check before heading out.
Places of worship were given the greenlight to resume services this Friday, but capacity will be limited to 30%.
Jong says they will follow the 30% rule, and ushers will seat and count how many people can enter churches.
She says families in the same household will sit together, and single people will seat alone with a safe distance between others.
