Now that Niagara has seen some much needed rain, areas of the region are starting to lift the open-air burning bans.
The bans have been lifted in Niagara Falls, Niagara-On-The-Lake, Fort Erie, Niagara Falls and Wainfleet thanks to some recent precipitation and a favourable weather forecast.
According to the official website for Lincoln and Pelham the open air burn bans are still in effect.
Officials with the Grimsby Fire Department also confirm the open air burn ban is still in place there as well.
A ban was never issued in St.Catharines.
