Some Niagara residents are waiting a week or more for their COVID-19 test results.
One Port Colborne family reached out to CKTB saying they have waited 8 days for a test result and still haven't received a call.
The family's 19 year old daughter was tested last Tuesday, and the family is still waiting for news.
Niagara Public health says there have been some delays due to the recent mass testing in long-term care homes.
Public health says the Province has noted that there might be delays in overall turnaround time of results, but outbreak and priority tests will be run quickly.
Niagara says they are seeing outbreak results and high-risk results coming back within 24-48 hours
Their advice for residents waiting for their results, is to check lab results on the website and to check with your doctor since they may receive results sooner.
