St Catharines city council will meet in special session Wednesday February 22nd to discuss inter municipal transit
The meeting will be held inside council chambers at 5:30 and the public is invited to attend or they can watch online at stcatharines.ca/livestram
An online form will also be posted on the city's website where the public can give feedback on transit issues.
The city along with the cities of Niagara Falls and Welland as well as the Niagara Region are currently considering combining their transit services into one large system that serves the entire region.
A consultants report released last falls has called for the creation of a new governing body made up of representatives from St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland and Niagara Region with advisory representation from Niagara's municipalities involved with connecting transit services.
