Forecasters saying very strong and gusty southwest winds are expected this afternoon ahead of an approaching cold front.
Winds gusting to 60 or 70 km/h are likely in many areas.
Scattered showers and the odd thunderstorm are likely this afternoon ahead of the front.
Even stronger wind gusts to 80 km/h are possible in these showers.
Warnings are not anticipated at this time as the winds are not expected to exceed 90 km/h.
Winds will quickly diminish this evening with the passage of the cold front.
