Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement in effect for:
Niagara Falls - Welland - Southern Niagara Region
St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region
A total of 10 to 15 cm of snow is expected. Snow will begin over Southwestern Ontario this morning and will reach Eastern Ontario by late this afternoon.
Current information suggests the precipitation will fall primarily as snow, but with a possibility of changing over to rain early Monday morning near the shores of the Great Lakes. The timing of this snowfall will likely have an impact on the Monday morning commute.
This snowfall is due to a developing Colorado low that will track towards the Great Lakes today.
Environment Canada will continue to monitor the track of this low and snowfall amounts.
