Special weather statement warns of potential flooding in Niagara

Although the rain will hold off for trickortreaters tonight, it looks like Niagara is in for a good soaking tomorrow.

Although the rain will hold off for trick-or-treaters tonight, it looks like Niagara is in for a good soaking tomorrow.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the region as 30 to 50 mm of rain is expected tomorrow.

The rain is expected to start late in the morning and then develop into heavier rain through the afternoon and into the night. 

Given how much rain the area has already received, we could see some localized flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas.
