The City of St. Catharines is celebrating its first ever Doors Open event today.
With over 20 organizations participating, the free event offers walking tours through places not normally seen by the public.
Tours of infrastructure sites include the Niagara Region's Decew Water Treatment Plant and OPG's Decew Generatign Station #1.
Doors Open is also offering a chance to tour the oldest house in St. Catharines, built in the late 1700's.
Most Doors Open locations are open from 10 until 4 today, however some sites like Ridley College have limited hours.
Tours have set departure times and pre-registration is necessary for certain locations.
