Drivers in St. Catharines haven't been shy about voicing their frustration during construction season.
Motorists in the city have been winding along detours as road improvements are underway for the City, the Niagara Region, and the Ministry of Transportation.
During tonight's meeting, Councillor Carlos Garcia is expected to bring forward a motion directing staff to ask the province and the region to work together and review all road work within the city limits so projects can be scheduled to allow for better traffic flow.
"The concern seems to be that a number of projects are being done right at the same place at the same time. And you would think that there is a way where these can be scheduled so that they don't all happen at once."
Garcia's motion notes councillors have been receiving many complaints.
"Communications seems to be key. I find that residents don't know when things are going to be closed. Businesses are particularly sensitive; I've heard from a number of businesses about Lake Street because Lake Street was recently repaved."
