Looks like the St. Catharines City Council could be asked to weigh in on the controversy surrounding the Niagara Penninsula Conservation Authority.
There have been calls by local MPP's and concerned citizens for a forensic audit of their financial statements.
Councillor Bruce Williamson has a motion asking the Ontario government to "immediately initiate an apporpriately thorough investigation and forensic audit of the NPCA".
Williamson's motion says serious questions have been raised about the NPCA's financial and human resource management.
It goes on to mention that Niagara's MPP's have made calls for a forensic audit of the NPCA's business practices.
The motion is on Monday night's council agenda in St. Catharines.
