The City of St. Catharines is considering a zoning by-law amendment to address concerns around Airbnb style rentals.
The amendment would allow for some short-term rentals in residential areas to continue as long as it is not the main use of the property.
The home must be the primary residence of the operator, but they would be allowed to rent it out occasionally as a way to make a little extra money.
As city staff consider the change, residents are asked to provide feedback through engagestc.ca
