Two major developments are getting a boost to move forward in St. Catharines.
City Council has given the green light to a pair of tax break through the city's Community Improvement Plan (CIP).
The buildings include a 30-storey tower at 88 James St. with 276 residential units.
The other is part of the old GM parking lot at 10 Pleasant Avenue where developers are planning a nine-storey apartment building and 14 townhomes.
The combined value of the CIP program approval is over $700,000 a year for 10 years.
