St. Catharines City Council is considering a new option to deal with outrageous student parties.
During tonight's meeting, council is expecting to hear details about a pilot project in the City of Kingston publicly naming people for public drunkenness and rowdiness.
The program is supported by Queen's University and students who find themselves named could face disciplinary action.
Councillor Mat Siscoe is expected to bring forward a motion asking staff to investigate Kingston's program, and develop something similar to curb excessive partying in residential neighbourhoods.
The agenda notes staff will try to get support from Brock University and Niagara College as soon as possible to get the program up and running before St. Patrick's Day.
