St. Catharines residents are invited to debate the proposal to move to a double direct councillor model.
A Public Meeting to debate the proposal will be held Monday, Dec. 19 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. inside Council Chambers at City Hall.
If you would like to speak at the meeting, you are asked to register with the Office of the City Clerk by calling 905.688.5601 ext. 1501 or emailing clerks@stcatharines.ca
Under the double direct model there would still be 12 members of St. Catharines City Council, with each ward represented by two councillors.
However, six of the councillors would serve on both regional and city council, while the other six councillors would serve only on St. Catharines city council.
