St. Catharines residents interested in applying to sit as the city's representative on the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority’s board can apply now.
Anyone interested needs to apply by midnight on Wednesday November 28th.
City Council recently passed a motion to seek a St. Catharines citizen to appoint as the City’s representative to the NPCA and will consider eligible applicants.
To be eligible to serve on the board applicants must be 18 years of age, reside in St. Catharines and have the skills, experience and training necessary to oversee the NPCA's activities effectively.
City Council is expected to make a recommendation for its representative at its meeting on Dec. 10.
Final appointment of the St. Catharines rep is the decision of the Niagara Region and City Council will forward its recommendation to Regional Council to consider.
