The City of St. Catharines has launched its annual toy and gift drive today with the start of the 21st annual Tree of Little Angels campaign.
As part of the campaign, the City collects new, unwrapped gifts for local children from the community at locations across St. Catharines.
Last year more than 500 toys were donated to Community Care through the Little Angels campaign.
The City will accept new, unwrapped gifts for children up to 16 years old until Friday Dec. 7.
Residents can support the campaign by taking a “Little Angel” off of one of the trees at various City facilities, purchasing a gift and returning it with the “Little Angel” to
any of the Tree of Little Angels locations: City Hall, the City’s community centres and older adult centres, the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre, the St.
Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre and the Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre.
The City will also accept new toy and gift donations without “Little Angel” tags, as well as gift card donations.
Toy and gift donations support Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.
