A St. Catharines man is facing child pornography charges following an investigation by the NRP.
Members of The Internet Child Exploitation or ICE Unit, began an investigation this month involving the creation and distribution of digital files of child pornography from within the Niagara Region.
The result was an search warrant of a St. Catharines residence conducted by the Technological Crimes Unit and Cyber Crimes Unit.
53 year old Allan "Jay" Fiocca was arrested and is facing the following alleged charges:
1. Make Child Pornography contrary to section 163.1(2) Criminal Code of Canada.
2. Possess Child Pornography contrary to section 163.1(4) Criminal Code of Canada.
3. Distribute Child Pornography contrary to section 163.1(3) Criminal Code of Canada.
Fiocca is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
At this time, the NRP says they will be releasing no further information to ensure the integrity of the investigation.
