A judge quickly quashed a St. Catharines man's assertion that Doug Ford should be held partly responsible for an impaired driving charge.
According to the Niagara Falls Review, 57 year old John Blake tried to argue extended hours for alcohol sales caused him to drink more at a golf course, leading to a single vehicle crash in Niagara-On-The-Lake in May.
Blake pleaded guilty to the impaired driving charge.
The paper reports the judge pointed out that although the Premier extended the hours for purchasing alcohol, he was not the one who drank the beers that day.
Blake was fined and handed a one year driving suspension.
