Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery at a variety store in St. Catharines.
Police say a suspect armed with a knife entered the Daisy Mart on Pelham Road around 8:00 last night and stole money from the cash register before fleeing on foot.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late 20's, dark hair with scruffy facial hair.
He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, with dark shorts.
Police say as he fled the store he lost his shoes and was forced to run away barefoot.
