A St. Catharines resident has won more than $110,000 in the Niagara Health Lottery.
Jackie Billard takes home the grand prize of $110,160 in the first ever Niagara Health Lottery put on by the Niagara Health Foundation.
All proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will be supporting the Family Resource Centre for Mental Health and Additions Programs at Niagara Health.
The centre will allow patients and families to interact with partners who have first-hand experiences as patients, family members, or primary caregivers.
Families will also receive help navigating services and programs throughout Niagara.
"Family and peer presence in the Centre will assist patients and families to connect with ongoing resources that facilitate individual and family recovery." Director Patient Care, Mental Health and Addictions Program at Niagara Health Barb Evans says. "The funds raised from Niagara Health Lottery will support our program immensely and allow us to continue our collaborative work with patients and families."
