Underage voters in St. Catharines agreed with their adult counterparts about who should lead the city.
Elementary and High School students cast mock votes in the Student Vote election, 'electing' incumbent Walter Sendzik.
Schools that participate in the program are provided with free election supplies to give students hands on experience with democracy.
While the kids only gave Sendzik 55% of the vote, the mayor was able to snatch up almost 72% of the overall support at the polls.
Sendzik will bear the chains of office for another term after beating out Richard Stephens, Johnny Tischler and Tunde Soniregan.
