St. Catharines residents can have their say on a plan to change the way regional councillors are elected in the city.
A town hall to discuss the move to a double direct model, will be held tonight from 7 to 9 pm, at Robertson Hall inside the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
Mayor Walter Sendzik will participate in a discussion on what the change will mean for residents, followed by a question and answer session.
Under the double direct model there would still be 12 members of St. Catharines City Council, with each ward represented by two councillors.
However, six of the councillors would serve on both regional and city council, while the other six councillors would serve only on St. Catharines city council.
