A rainbow could be coming to a street near you.
St. Catharines councillors unanimously approved a motion by Merritton Councillor Greg Miller to have a rainbow crosswalk installed on a city street.
He says the initiative started with a local group who reached out to show the city is a welcoming community after the attacks against attendees at a Hamilton Pride event in June.
Miller says the owner of a private paint company has already said they would be willing to do the work for free.
He adds they have asked the recently formed LGBTQ2+ advisory committee to come up with suggestions for the location.
