A St.Catharines woman vows to continue the fight to bring civility and respect back to the regional council table.
Haley Bateman speaking out after a volatile presentation before the region last Thursday.
Bateman appeared before council to discuss a May meeting where a heated exchange took place between a councillor and former Integrity Commissioner John Mascarin.
During her presentation last week, she got into a back and forth with the same councillor.
Bateman says Niagara Falls Regional Councillor Bob Gale was trying to intimidate Mascarin, and he tried to do the same thing to her last week.
Bateman says Gale called Mascarin a fraud, and he tried to intimidate him.
Gale denied that allegation and wanted to know if Bateman had ever gave the Region praise instead of insults.
Bateman called his behaviour repulsive.
Gale went on to say that she is the only person to negatively react to his actions regarding the IC.
The video is now making the rounds on social media with many people weighing in.
Many comments were posted on Facebook following the release of the video including one comment from Former Niagara Regional Chair Debbie Zimmerman who posted " Thanks Haley for everything you have done- there is.no comment on this behaviour that is printable".
Councillor Gale who will be joining CKTB's Tim Denis at 8:20 Thursday morning to respond to the allegations.
Gale is asking residents to watch the videos before passing judgement.
***The interaction begins at around the :49 min mark***
He also stressed he was just asking questions and did not bully anyone.
