The Fraser Institute has released its annual report ranking over 700 secondary schools in the province.
The right leaning think tank says by comparing a school's latest result we can see which schools are improving and if there is a more successful school in the same geographic area educators can learn from them.
The overall ratings are based on province wide literacy and math EQAO test results.
Here in Niagara, St. Michaels in Niagara Falls is among theĀ top ranked secondary schools in Ontario coming in at 50 out of 740 Catholic and public schools across the province.
St. Catharines Collegiate is one of the lowest ranked at 689, followed by Stamford in Niagara Falls at 677.
In Welland, Centennial Secondary was named one of the top 10 most improved schools in Ontario.
