A stabbing in Niagara Falls last night has police looking for multiple suspects.
Police were called to the area of Buckley Avenue and Huron Street at 6pm to find a 25 year old man suffering from stab wounds.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment for what is believed to be serious, but non-life threatening injures.
The investigation determined that the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by a group of men.
He was struck in the head, beaten and then stabbed.
The stabbing is believed to have occurred on the south east corner of Huron Street and Buckley Avenue.
The suspects were last seen running from the scene towards the area of Morrison Street and Victoria Avenue.
Detectives continue to build suspect descriptions. There may be between two to five suspects involved.
The investigation has determined that this was a targeted assault and one suspect is described as a white man with blonde hair and a red and black lumber jacket style coat.
Detectives are asking anyone with information or closed circuit cameras in the area to contact them.
