The NPCA will release some interesting figures today.
Board Member of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority and Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati tells CKTB a unanimous vote was held to release legal costs the Authority spent launching lawsuits against citizen Ed Smith.
Diodati says we should see the legal costs by the end of the day.
He says while they are not legally responsible to release the number, it's just the right thing to do.
Earlier this month a judge dismissed a defamation lawsuit by Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority against Ed Smith and ordered the NPCA to pay Smith more than $130,000 in legal costs.
Justice James Ramsay said the attempt to sue Smith for $10,000 for defamation was "designed to silence the defendant, who was an annoyance to the authority."
CKTB will keep you updated.
