We are all itching for spring to arrive, including the owners of Hornblower boats in Niagara Falls.
Vice-President and GM of Hornblower Mory DiMaurizio tells CKTB they have a computer model which shows ice conditions and it predicts when conditions are right to get boats in the water.
He says right now boat rides will not launch, until ice clears from the river.
DiMaurizio says it looks like boats will start the last week of April or the first week of May.
When it comes to the tourism season, he says it looks like we currently have an increase of Chinese, Mexico and American tourists.
He says Canada is a great place to visit for many reasons including the exchange rate, which gives visitors more bang for their buck.
In May 2014, Hornblower Niagara Cruises opened as the official boat tour operator on the Canadian side of the Niagara River offering daytime Voyage To The Falls Boat Tour and Nighttime Falls Illumination and Falls Fireworks Cruises.
