We still have no idea when the province's Special Investigations Unit will release findings of the November shooting incident involving two regional police officers.
Constable Nathan Parker was shot multiple times by fellow officer Sergeant Shane Donovan.
We do know both officers have been placed on administrative leave and Parker has been released from the hospital.
Bell Media Crime Expert, Mark Mendelson says he doesn't understand why the SIU hasn't wrapped up the case yet, "It isn't a who done it and it behoves me to understand why it is taking so long for the SIU not only to come to some sort of a conclusion but even to comment publicaly about the state of the investigation or where it's going and what direction it is taking."
Mendelson says the slow pace of the investigation is contributing to rumours and innuendo, "It's a complete vacuum and it only leads to speculation and rumour because you have relatives of some of the people involved who are quite readily available to comment to the media about the background of one or more of these officers and you're getting all this information but you are getting nothing official."
