Striking Ontario college professors, instructors, counsellors and librarians are holding a rally outside the Ministry of Advanced Education building in Toronto this morning.
They will be urging the government to help get the College Employer Council back to the bargaining table.
Union leaders say they are willing to talk, but no new negotiations are scheduled and it's time for the government to intervene in the strike that started on October 16th.
Speakers at the rally which runs from 11 to noon include, OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas, the union's College Faculty Bargaining Team Chair JP Hornick and Pam Frache, Ontario Coordinator of Fight for $15 and Fairness.
The strike by faculty is now into its second week.
