It's been a hectic night for the people in Fort Erie.
Officials with the town say the Fort Erie Response Team reported to major flooding events in several areas including Point Abinio Road, Thunder Bay Road, and Lakeshore Road.
Although some water receded around 3 am. this morning, water levels are still very high in many areas.
Officials say many roads remain closed, and urge drivers to plan extra time this morning.
Experts with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration say waves on Lake Erie reached 15 feet while the winds kicked up to 115 km/hr.
The Response Team responded to 40 emergency calls, including more than 30 cases of fallen trees on hydro lines.
Hydro crews are still working to restore power this morning, but so far an estimated restoration time is not available.
