Post secondary students were out front of Queen's Park yesterday in their ongoing fight against the Ford government's decision to cancel the free tution program.
New numbers released yesterday by the CBC show just how many students across the province relied on the program to go to school.
The never before released figures reveal over four thousand Niagara College students or 59 percent of full time students last year went to school on the province's dime.
In Belleville, 73 percent of the full time student population at Loyalist College received free tuition last school year.
The program which launched in 2017 provided free tuition for students from families earning $50,000 or less.
The Ford government announced last month, it was scrapping the program and replacing it with enhanced grants and loans.
